Introduction
ClinSphere Journals is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a fair, transparent, ethical, and independent editorial process. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and relevance of submitted manuscripts to the journal's aims and scope.
The Editorial Board strives to ensure an efficient, objective, and confidential review process while maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.
Editorial Independence
The editorial process is conducted independently of commercial, financial, institutional, or personal influence.
Editorial decisions are never influenced by:
- Article Processing Charges (APCs)
- Institutional affiliation
- Nationality
- Gender
- Race
- Religion
- Political beliefs
- Seniority or academic position
All manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic and scientific quality.
Initial Editorial Assessment
Upon submission, every manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening to determine whether it:
- Falls within the journal's aims and scope.
- Complies with the journal's submission requirements.
- Meets acceptable standards of scientific quality.
- Adheres to ethical and publication standards.
- Contains all required documentation.
Manuscripts that fail to meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or declined before peer review.
Similarity Screening
All submitted manuscripts may undergo plagiarism and similarity screening before peer review.
Manuscripts containing plagiarism, duplicate publication, manipulated content, or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected immediately.
Peer Review
Manuscripts passing the initial editorial assessment are forwarded for double-blind peer review by independent experts in the relevant field.
The number of reviewers assigned to each manuscript is determined by the Editorial Office.
Editors consider reviewer recommendations when making editorial decisions but retain full responsibility for the final decision.
Editorial Decisions
Following peer review, the Editor may reach one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Accept with Minor Revisions
- Major Revisions Required
- Reject
Authors receiving revision requests should address all reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.
Decision Criteria
Editorial decisions are based on:
- Scientific originality
- Methodological rigor
- Clinical or scientific significance
- Accuracy of data and analysis
- Ethical compliance
- Quality of presentation
- Relevance to the journal's scope
- Reviewer recommendations
Acceptance is based on merit alone.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff maintain strict confidentiality throughout the editorial process.
Information regarding submitted manuscripts will not be disclosed to anyone other than:
- The corresponding author
- Assigned reviewers
- Editors directly involved in the editorial process
- Publisher (where necessary)
Confidential manuscript information will never be used for personal or professional advantage.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest.
Editors will not handle manuscripts in which they have:
- Financial interests
- Personal relationships
- Institutional affiliations
- Collaborative relationships with the authors
- Any circumstance that could compromise impartiality
Such manuscripts will be reassigned to another qualified editor.
Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Ensuring fairness throughout the editorial process.
- Maintaining editorial independence.
- Selecting qualified reviewers.
- Protecting reviewer confidentiality.
- Safeguarding author confidentiality.
- Addressing allegations of research misconduct.
- Correcting or retracting published articles when necessary.
- Promoting research integrity and publication ethics.
Appeals
Authors who believe an editorial decision was made in error may submit a reasoned appeal to the Editorial Office.
Appeals should include scientific justification and supporting evidence.
All appeals are reviewed independently, and the decision following appeal shall be considered final.
Corrections and Retractions
Where significant errors, ethical concerns, or research misconduct are identified after publication, the journal may publish:
- Corrections
- Expressions of Concern
- Retractions
Such actions are undertaken to preserve the integrity of the scientific record.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial Intelligence tools may assist editors with administrative tasks where appropriate. However, editorial decisions, reviewer selection, manuscript evaluation, and publication decisions are made solely by qualified human editors.
AI systems are not permitted to make independent editorial decisions.
