Animal Research Ethics Policy

Ethical Approval

All research involving animals must receive prior approval from an appropriate Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) or equivalent ethics committee before the study begins.

Authors must provide the name of the approving committee, approval number (where applicable), and approval date within the manuscript.

Animal Welfare

Authors must ensure that animal studies are designed and conducted to minimize pain, suffering, and distress. Animals should be handled humanely, and appropriate measures should be taken to ensure their welfare throughout the study.

Reporting Requirements

Manuscripts should clearly describe:

  • Ethical approval obtained for the study.
  • Species and number of animals used.
  • Experimental procedures.
  • Measures taken to ensure animal welfare.
  • Compliance with applicable ethical guidelines and regulations.

Editorial Action

The Editorial Office may request additional documentation relating to ethical approval during the review process.

Manuscripts that fail to meet the journal's ethical requirements may be rejected or withdrawn from consideration.
